SEIZURE CRYPT: BIO

Seizure Crypt is back to unleash their latest endeavor “Hello, My Name Is… Madness”  onto the unsuspecting world.  Armed with a scathing full line up, and their trademark fierce determination raging as strong as ever, this eight-track offering recorded at Cyclone Sound by hardcore icon Don Fury showcases the band’s unique and potent concoction of hardcore, punk, and metal that can only be described as the Seizure Crypt sound.

Formed in 2004 by co-vocalist/bassist/guitarist Tom Reardon and drummer Doug Williamson, the plan of attack set forth was simple; to create a maniacal form of music that had no limits and no boundaries.  Getting straight to work, the duo penned, played, and recorded the initial Seizure Crypt songs, laying down the foundation for the madness to ensue.  This combo then hit up their contacts in the local NYC music scene for co-conspirators in the madness, a fruitful search which yielded co-vocalist Mike SOS and guitarist Juan Rodriguez.  The band then recorded and self released “City Of New York”, the inaugural release which turned heads and, like most great art, received a mixture of vast adulation and turgid scorn from the music press and the NYC music scene alike.

With “City Of New York” in the can and Seizure Crypt’s indelible first impression made, Rodriguez left the fold, leaving the band to comb the want ads for members to take the mania to the masses.  Bassist Ivan Serge and guitarist Bishop Nazz emerged from the endless stream of dead ends, solidifying the lineup.  The band then embarked on a furious live assault which culminated in a barrage of live shows throughout the five boroughs and beyond titled “Fuck Pay To Play Tour”.  With a Brazen stage presence, unmatched volatility, and a boundless musical style presented in a live form, people began to stand up and take notice to Seizure Crypt’s unorthodox method of mayhem.

A slew of gigs under their belts, the band then entered the studio to record “Hello, My Name Is…Madness”.  With Don Fury at the helm and historic Coney Island as the backdrop, the eight-track aural assault perfectly captures the outfit’s unbridled crossover ferocity.  Soon after the recording, Serge was out, leaving the bass slot wide open for the capable hands of Brian “Bro Town” Kiminski to take the reins.  Now stronger than ever, Seizure Crypt is on track, poised and ready to further cement its place in the NYC music scene with its incomparable intensity and unparalleled abrasiveness in full attack mode.  Like a hurricane colliding with a tornado, run for cover when “Hello, My Name Is…Madness” blares through the speakers, as natural disaster is sure to follow.
